Three Stunning Wines to Buy Now

tasting-line-up-blog

At FINE+RARE we’re in the fortunate position of being able to taste a lot of wine. Some is great, some average and others, surprisingly occasionally poor. But every so often a wine gets opened in out tasting room that absolutely floors us and three have done just that in recent weeks.

They are so good that we instantly took all we could into stock and come very highly recommended as three wines you need to buy now.

The 2010 Ducluzeau is a real star of a find. From the brilliant 2010 Bordeaux vintage and the same stable as the mighty Ducru Beaucaillou, it is already showing beautifully well and will only get better and better – an utter bargain for the Bordeaux lover.

The 2012 Domaine de la Solitude is absolutely delicious red Bordeaux. Under the same ownership as Domaine de Chevalier and showing the same care, skill and precision in winemaking, it is rich, deep Cabernet Sauvignon dominated Claret from Pessac that punches well above its very modest price point.

Finally, the 2014 Morgon by Marcel Lapierre. A Beaujolais that drinks like a very good red Beaune, everything about this screams quality – from the heavy wax-sealed bottles to the elegant labels – but it’s what’s inside that sets this apart, supremely drinkable and almost impossible not to finish.
